The word breakfast literally breaks down to ‘break fast’. You’re breaking the natural fast that occurs when you sleep at night, and a healthy breakfast is the best way to replace the energy that your body has expended overnight. Your body needs that energy, and your brain does as well!

5. It May Help You Lose Weight

Based on current research, people who skip breakfast are more likely be overweight. Researchers have found that skipping breakfast may trick your brain into craving high calorie foods. When combined with the filling effects of a healthy breakfast, it makes sense that it can help you in your weight loss journey.
