Acai Berries Support Brain Function
Forgetting where you put your keys. Forgetting where you put your glasses (they are usually on your head by the way!). These little memory slips are all signs we are getting a little bit older.
Declining memory is often something that is considered a trait of the elderly, but believe me, forgetfulness can start as early as your late 20s if you are not doing your best to support cognitive function.
Eating the right foods, and “exercising” your brain is the best way to keep your memory sharp – this comes in handy during an argument with your other half, when you need to recall that time in 2003 when he stayed out an hour later than he said he would!
Acai Berries are a great way to improve your focus and memory naturally.
Oxidative stress plays a key role in development of many cognitive illnesses such as memory loss, dementia and further age-related mental disorders.
Research suggests that anthocyanins in acai pulp display defensive properties against oxidative stress and the degeneration of mental functions. (source)
Stress and anxiety lead to an imbalance of the hormones in the body which could have a negative impact on your health. Acai berries have the ability to protect against damaging effects by regulating hormone levels.
This is one of the reasons many people find acai berries one of the most useful fruits in the world.
Precautions for Use
Like most readily available fresh produce, in its raw state, acai berries appear to be safe to eat. Although, those with existing allergies to other berries should be extra cautious when trying acai berries for the first time.
It’s important to check for any additional ingredients in pre-processed varieties. Some pureed forms can be loaded with in sugar.
